Good morning, Moorhead.

A Moorhead man aged 49 was convicted on all three counts of aggravated assault and accomplice to aggravated assault in connection with the downtown Fargo beating on April 6—sentencing will be set for September 8.

Professor Andrew Chen of Minnesota State University Moorhead said the Institute of Applied AI will start this fall to train students in using AI in business, healthcare, education, arts, and sciences.

He is one of five selected to be a fellow—he noted that proper training in AI is needed to help students prepare for a changing job market.
