ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A cell phone with crash detection fell from an airplane taxiing at Moorhead Municipal Airport Friday morning around 9:50 a.m., triggering an alarm that brought Moorhead firefighters, police & Clay County Sheriff’s Office who later found the phone on a taxiway. KVRR
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Nearly 60 tattoo artists from across the country gathered at Brewhalla for the second annual Hel’s Fury Tattoo Festival in Fargo, where they display their art and offer unique designs. The event runs through Sunday as artists submit work for handmade awards and build new connections — creating a festive, family-like atmosphere. KVRR
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Former acting Deputy Chief Deric Swenson is no longer with the Moorhead Police Department as his employment ended May 23 after he was placed on administrative leave on March 24 due to a city complaint—he had been reprimanded for a 2019 complaint, and the department provided no further comment.
