CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Police in Fargo arrested 27-year-old Madison Dunkirk on May 20 for shoplifting a $700 coffee machine and assaulting a loss prevention employee by ramming a shopping cart and throwing hot coffee from a store in the 4200 block of 13th Avenue South (officers tracked her vehicle with a FLOCK license plate reader before finding her in a North Broadway parking lot). ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Volunteers from River Keepers Fargo-Moorhead planted about 350 trees at River Oaks Park on May 29 to help the Red River adjust to higher temperatures. Around 60 volunteers planted species common to southern Minnesota, including Accolade Elm and Hackberry — the trees came from Swedberg Nursery in Battle Lake. KVRR
