BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Texas-based Applied Digital is planning a $3-billion data center near Harwood that will include two 900,000 square foot buildings designed to support tech companies with artificial intelligence and data services—construction may begin later this year and an informational meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Harwood Community Center while the company pays for electrical grid improvements to keep rates steady. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Bobcat Company donated $150,000 to the National Recreation and Park Association on Aug. 19th to support parks as part of its #WorkWorthDoing campaign—this donation will help improve community spaces and aid preservation efforts. KVRR
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Moorhead residents shared their frustration on social media about the city's delay of an aerial spraying planned on August 7 as mosquito numbers worsen and bite incidents rise; Cass County Vector Control reported the highest counts in 10 to 15 years. The city held a meeting Tuesday and will vote on a new spraying policy on Monday (the last spraying was in 2020). KVRR
