- ➤ Mystic and Onyx are five-month-old kittens who survived a serious illness after emergency vet care and are still waiting for forever homes. Volunteer Debra Bartelt rescued them—she says their dark coats make them less visible in photos. KVRR
- ➤ At the forty-third annual Chocolate for Change event, hundreds of supporters gathered as local bakeries and businesses supplied chocolates, sweets, and chili—funding a $75 emergency shelter night for each woman or child served by the YWCA of Cass Clay. KVRR
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Moorhead man was arrested for allegedly poisoning his St. Cloud roommate when doctors found high levels of thallium in the victim, which led to the death of 33-year-old Cody Ernst—35-year-old Stuart Hanmer is held in Stearns County Jail pending formal charges—. KVRR

Engaging Responsibly with AI
Concordia College invites everyone to the 2025 Faith, Reason, and World Affairs Symposium, “Responsibly Engaging With AI to Make a Difference in the World.”The event on Wednesday, Sept. 17, will bring people together to consider artificial intelligence’s impact and the moral accountability issues surrounding it, including experts in the field, Concordia faculty, staff, and students, and community members.
