BUSINESS NEWS

  • Public records show the permit for a new Kwik Trip location near Walmart on 52nd Avenue South has been resubmitted—its review will resume today as part of an expansion plan that includes Fargo, Moorhead and Dilworth. Some stores are expected to open this fall and winter.  KVRR

CULTURE NEWS

  • Gallery 4 in downtown Fargo celebrates its 50th anniversary by showcasing local artists and a timeline of its history from 1975 through former locations like the Moorhead Center Mall — today the cooperative gallery will offer coffee, cake and lemonade from noon until 3 followed by a wine and cheese social with a presentation on its past.  KVRR
  • The Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra launches the fall Masterworks concert series this weekend featuring fresh works by local artists. The program includes Adam Hochstatter’s piece Noir Concerto No.1, which tells a detective’s story, and Russ Peterson’s work Between Two Cultures, performed with a Native American drum group inspired by local artist Star Wallowing Bull.  KVRR

    Concordia College invites everyone to the 2025 Faith, Reason, and World Affairs Symposium, “Responsibly Engaging With AI to Make a Difference in the World.”The event on Wednesday, Sept. 17, will bring people together to consider artificial intelligence’s impact and the moral accountability issues surrounding it, including experts in the field, Concordia faculty, staff, and students, and community members.
