- ➤ Fargo area residents can now send in their entries for the Best Decorated House of the FM Area contest, which launched on September 16th and lasts until mid-October to earn a trophy and bragging rights. The contest now includes homes in Harwood and Horace and will feature entries on an interactive online map for trick or treaters—founder Abby Haake will also host a Haunted Harvest Halloween Market with food trucks and a drag show. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Miss Moorhead Natalie Berg and Miss Moorhead Teen Jillian Bain will compete in the Miss America 2026 pageant—Berg will promote her Little Readers, Big Dreamers literacy program while Bain supports young girls' wellness through Bio Girls. They shared their goals on the Morning Show to highlight the importance of reading skills and physical confidence. KVRR

Engaging Responsibly with AI
Concordia College invites everyone to the 2025 Faith, Reason, and World Affairs Symposium, “Responsibly Engaging With AI to Make a Difference in the World.”The event on Wednesday, Sept. 17, will bring people together to consider artificial intelligence’s impact and the moral accountability issues surrounding it, including experts in the field, Concordia faculty, staff, and students, and community members.
