- ➤ Three kittens found in a bucket near death have been rescued and carefully tube-fed at Cat’s Cradle. They are being fostered by Natural Pet Center and will be ready for adoption within a month—bringing hope for families during the Halloween season. KVRR

- ➤ The Moorhead Business Association hosted its annual celebration today at the Courtyard Mariott starting at 5:30 p.m. where local businesses enjoyed networking and recognition; Fix-it-Forward celebrated an anniversary by opening its fifth location in the Fargo-Moorhead area—while the association announced a rebranding to become the Greater Moorhead Business Association. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Minnesota State Moorhead received a $5.5 million gift from the Nibbe Family Foundation — it will fund the new Nibbe School of Teaching and Learning, scholarships, and study abroad opportunities. The donation is expected to help recruit and retain teachers to strengthen the college's education program. KVRR
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Motorists in Moorhead will face overnight closures on Interstate 94 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. starting Monday, Oct 6 if weather permits—eastbound lanes between 20th and 34th will close first with detours via 20th Street South, 40th Avenue South, and 34th Street South, and westbound may follow in subsequent nights depending on conditions.
