Minnesota food pantries including Dorothy Day expressed concern that more people on SNAP benefits might soon rely on them for food — with about 440,000 Minnesotans already on SNAP and the program serving 42 million nationwide — Devlyn Brooks of Churches United said pantries serving roughly 350 families a week are already stretched and may struggle to meet rising demand.

Moorhead Public Schools is asking voters to approve two referendums for a $4.37 million operating levy and an extra $1.5 million for equipment and transportation on November 4.
