- ➤ Village Green Golf Course in Moorhead will close for the season at dusk on Thursday after 207 days of play — Meadows Golf Course already ended its season on Sunday. KVRR
- ➤ At Delta Hotels by Marriott in Fargo, hundreds of women gathered at United Way’s 23rd Annual United for Impact Women’s Luncheon to support women and kids in poverty—organizers held a silent auction with over 100 purses and raffle games while local partners doubled donations up to $10,000. KVRR
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra will perform Masterworks 2: Music From Within this weekend, mixing solo pieces with group works to offer a fresh take on classical music. Flute soloist Debora Harris, who teaches at Concordia College, will perform Mozart while music director Christopher Zimmerman plays piano — both set to highlight the event. KVRR
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Voters in Dilworth rejected a proposal to add $500 per student to general education revenue, with 619 in favor and 652 against (51.3% voting no). Without the extra funds, the school district will cut teachers, enlarge class sizes and trim electives — which may also affect building maintenance. KVRR
