Good morning, Moorhead.

On Saturday, Fargo-Moorhead Mutual Aid & Direct Action Network held a winter clothing drive at the Moorhead Public Library where hundreds of socks, mittens, and other winter items were donated to help locals in need.

Organizers said they are urging city officials to set up warming stations this winter since neither a warming center nor the Cass County Public Health building is available for use.

Love Your Local held its seventh Small Business Expo at the Hilton Garden Inn during the busy holiday season—over 60 vendors sold items from apparel to collectibles while shoppers registered for Trans-Siberian Orchestra tickets for a December 30 performance at the Fargodome—and festive touches like Santa and live Christmas trees marked the event.

At Moorhead's 30th Pangea: Cultivate Our Cultures festival, people enjoyed music, dance and food from many cultures as the event grew from a small school show to a record turnout of 1,600 attendees—organizers say this highlights changing community traditions.

Local figures like Markus Krueger praised the festival for uniting diverse groups through shared heritage.
