ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A draft 20-year plan for Buffalo River State Park in Clay County will convert the swimming pond into a nature play area and add campsites, cabins, and an outdoor amphitheater while also improving water access and trail connections; the Minnesota DNR will host an open house at the MSUM Regional Science Center on Dec. 2 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. to gather public comments on the plan. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City, state, and federal officials held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new Veterans Memorial Center at Fargo National Cemetery on November 24th—money from state and federal governments will expand the site from five acres to 35 acres and add bathrooms, a parking lot and office space—to give veterans and their families better services.
